The two actresses succeed Marcia Rodd and Barbara Minkus, who will return to the show later this year. The cast also features Steve Rossi and James Dybas. Written and directed by Saul Ilson, the musical is described by producers as "a laugh-filled 90 minutes of music and comedy that celebrates the occasionally bumpy but always amusing journey as baby boomers become 'seniors.'"
Joy Franz has been seen on Broadway in Into the Woods, Open Admissions, Musical Chairs, Pippin and Guys and Dolls. Her regional credits include roles in Company, A Little Night Music and The Gingerbread Lady.
Cheryl Stern appeared on Broadway in The Women and was featured with Jackie Mason in Laughing Room Only. She was seen in the New York City Opera production of Candide, and her Off-Broadway credits include First Lady Suite, Being Audrey and 27 Rue de Fleurus. Stern has also appeared in the first national tours of A Grand Night for Singing, Les Miserables, Evita and Fiddler on the Roof.
