Cabaret & Concert News Free Broadway in the Boros Concert Series Launches June 15 With Come From Away and A Bronx Tale The family-friendly lunchtime series kicks off in Brooklyn.

The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment’s free Broadway in the Boros series, featuring performances by cast members and musicians of Broadway musicals in neighborhoods throughout New York City, launches June 15 in Brooklyn with company members from A Bronx Tale and Come from Away.

The family-friendly performances will continue June 29, July 13, and July 27. The performances take place Fridays from noon to 1 PM (rain or shine) and also include Broadway trivia and giveaways. Julie James, host of the SiriusXM Radio show On Broadway, hosts.

The complete lineup follows:

The Plaza at 300 Ashland (Downtown Brooklyn)
A Bronx Tale and Come From Away

June 29
Kaufman Astoria Studios Backlot (Astoria, Queens)
Once on this Island and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical

July 13
Lighthouse Point Plaza (Staten Island)
The Band’s Visit and Wicked

July 27
Soundview Park (The Bronx)
SpongeBob SquarePants and Kinky Boots

“We are thrilled to present a stellar lineup for this year’s Broadway in the Boros, a program that enables New Yorkers throughout the five boroughs to experience the extraordinary talents of our Broadway community,” said Media and Entertainment Commissioner Julie Menin. “We invite all New Yorkers to come out to parks in their neighborhoods to enjoy these musical performances and hope to even inspire some future Broadway stars in the audience.”
