News Free Broadway's Future Concert Will Spotlight Composer-Lyricist Benjamin Scheuer Broadway's Future @ Lincoln Center (formerly The Songbook series), which is presented by Arts and Artists at St. Paul, will continue Jan. 30 at 6 PM in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center in Manhattan.

Directed, hosted and produced by John Znidarsic, the free concert will spotlight the songs of up-and-coming composer/lyricist, Benjamin Scheuer. Scheduled to perform with Scheuer are Geoff Kraly on bass/synthesizer and Jacob Sacks on piano.

Scheuer wrote the music and co-wrote the lyrics for the satirical comedy Jihad! The Musical, which has been staged in Edinburgh and London. Scheuer’s folk-opera, The Nightingale and the Rose, based on the Oscar Wilde short story, was produced by the Metropolis Opera Project in New York City. He writes songs for, sings and plays guitar in the band Escapist Papers, whose second record, titled "The Bridge," will be available for free download in April 2012, from www.EscapistPapers.com.

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts' Bruno Walter Auditorium is located at 111 Amsterdam Avenue and 65th Street.
