The 6 PM concert at the Donnell Library Theater will feature an evening of new theatre and cabaret songs penned by a host of up-n-coming composers. Those scheduled to lend their voices to the evening include David Arthur, Lisa Asher, Masonya Berry, Cassandra Cabinski, Ryan Cunningham, Russell Arden Kaplin, Florence Levitt, Logan Lipton, Ben Moore, Gayla Morgan, Marnie Parris, Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, Gretchen Reinhagen, Sharon Werner, Stephen Wilde and Kristina Wilson.
Concertgoers can expect to hear tunes by Ryan Cunningham and Josh Salzman, Cassandra Cabinski, Steven Silverstein and Ruth Williamson, Michael Roberts, David Arthur and Christopher Denny, Ben Moore, Chris Widney and Christian Azarow, James Allen Ford and John Ekizian, Patrick Dwyer, Gayla Morgan, Barbara Anselmi and Carla Rose Arnone, Paul Katz, Nicholas Levin, Sean Hartley and Jihwan Kim, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and the late Portia Nelson.
John Znidarsic, the concert's producer and director, will host the free event.
The Songbook series, now in its 15th year, presents "the newest music of Broadway in live performance by today's brightest talents." The works of Jason Robert Brown, Andrew Lippa, Gerard Alessandrini and John Bucchino have all been part of the acclaimed series.
