News Free Goliath Reading, with Woods, Smith, McKenna, McCarley, Elliot, Offered Sept. 14 Playwrights 6 presents a free reading of David J. Duman's Goliath Sept. 14 at the Celebration Theatre in Hollywood, CA.

The 8 PM reading features the talents of John T. Woods, Tamika Katon-Donegal, Peter James Smith, Chase McKenna, Paul Elliot, Margaret McCarley and Paula Fins.

In Goliath, press notes state, "the main character David travels to Virginia to visit his dying grandmother while in the sun-scorched deserts of Biblical-era Gath, Goliath prepares for battle. As the fight approaches, the two worlds collapse into a comic re-envisioning of their mythic duel."

A reception with refreshments will follow the reading.

Playwright Duman's plays have been produced at several venues in San Francisco, including El Teatro de la Esperanza, The Jon Sims Center, The McKenna Theatre, the Studio Theatre at San Francisco State University, the San Francisco Theatre Festival, and the Thick House. His play Fishing recently completed a sold-out run at Emeryville.
