News Free In Love with Jobim Presentations to Feature Curt Hansen, Ken Land, Jeff McCarthy York Theatre Company will present developmental lab presentations of the new musical In Love with Jobim May 16 at 3 PM and 7 PM and May 17 at 3 PM at The York Theatre at Saint Peter’s.

The concert stagings, which are free and open to the public, will feature the talents of Ashley Perez Flanagan (Prometheus Bound at A.R.T.), Curt Hansen (Hairspray), Ken Land (Promises, Promises) and Jeff McCarthy (Urinetown).

In Love with Jobim features a concept and book by Ernest Chambers and music by Antonio Carlos Jobim. Pamela Hunt will direct the performances with musical direction by Lawrence Yurman.

In Love with Jobim, press note state, is a "one-act romantic comedy set in Rio, featuring some of the greatest love songs of our time. Antonio Carlos Jobim’s beloved music sets the score for this love-triangle full of humor and heart." The show includes Jobim’s “The Girl from Ipanema,” “Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars,” "In My Loneliness," "How Insensitive," "Wave," “Once I Loved” and “One Note Samba.”
