News Free Performances of "Dance in the Park" Held at Delacorte Theater Sept. 16-17 To celebrate the 10th anniversary of New York City Center’s "Fall For Dance" festival, the Public Theater hosts two free evenings of dance at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park Sept. 16-17.

Performers include four "Fall For Dance" Festival alumni: New York City Ballet, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Ronald K. Brown/Evidence and STREB Extreme Action Company. The same program is performed each night.

"Dance belongs at the Delacorte Theater, and New York City Center and The Public belong in partnership," Public Theater artistic director Oskar Eustis said in a statement. "The art of democracy can only flourish when the arts are democratic, and City Center and The Public were both founded to make art for the people. 'Fall for Dance' is a wonderful program, and we are proud to be hosting it in the most beautiful theater in the world.”

Free tickets will be distributed, two per person, at The Public's Delacorte Theater on the day of the show and through a virtual ticketing lottery.

The "Fall For Dance" festival runs Sept. 25-Oct. 5.
