News Free Reading of Mae West Musical, with Hickok and Faris, Presented Feb. 20-21 The York Theatre Company's Developmental Reading Series continues Feb. 20 and 21 with It's Not What I Say. . ., a new musical about the late Mae West.

Directed by Andy Sandberg, the cast features Holly Faris and John Hickok with Stephen Brotebeck, Marcus Allen Cooper, Nick Dalton, Christopher Guilmet, Robert Anthony Jones, Roger Rifkin, Richard Rowan, Nathan Scherich and David Weitzer. Jeffrey Buchsbaum is the musical director for the 7:30 PM presentations. It's Not What I Say. . . features a book and score by Daniel Lanning and "covers Mae's career on Broadway and in Hollywood, providing an unprecedented and very musical view into what really made Mae West tick."
