Three readings of Hampton's work will be offered at Manhattan Theatre Club's Creative Center July 23 at 2 and 7 PM and July 24 at 7 PM. Admission is free and open to the public.

Calvert plays Shelly in a cast that also features B. Brian Argotsinger (Screg), Kim Goldfeder (Eve), Beverly Lauchner (Hillary Parker), Trey Mitchell (Trevor) and Paul Nugent (Jackson). Playwright Hampton directs.

The Jungle Fun Room, according to press notes, is described as such: "When a new worker, Trevor, arrives fresh off the music theatre conservatory boat, followed by the birthday girl's Oscar winning Mom, it throws Shelly and fellow coworkers, Screg and Eve, into an emotional and hysterical loop where they are faced with past and present realties of their roles in show business."

The Jungle Fun Room was featured at the 2008 Penobscot Theatre's Northern Writes New Play Festival, where it was voted Audience Favorite and will receive a full production in their Underground Season in January 2009.

The Creative Center at Manhattan Theatre Club is located at 311 West 43rd Street, 8th Floor. Reservations, which are required, can be made by visiting www.brianhampton.net.
