New York's Gorilla Repertory Theatre Company returns July 24 for its seventh summer season of free Shakespeare in New York's Washington Square Park.

Titania, Bottom and Puck return to frolic in A Midsummer Night's Dream for the eighth time, Gorilla Rep artistic director Christopher Sanderson will once again direct. Dream opens July 24 at 8 PM and runs Thursdays and Saturdays through Sept. 20.

All performances begin at 8 PM in the Greenwich Village park's southwest corner, and are held outdoors.

For the first time, Gorilla Rep will perform its plays in repertory. The Taming of the Shrew, also directed by Sanderson, includes the rarely seen introductory "Christopher Sly" scenes. Shrew opens July 25 and runs Fridays and Sundays through Sept. 21.

Shrew and Dream will be performed Aug. 14 - 17 and Aug. 21 - 24 as part of the First New York International Fringe Festival. In addition, Gorilla Rep will revive its recent production of Alice in Wonderland as part of the festival. Alice will wonder in the arena in front of the Henry Street Settlement Playhouse (466 Grand St.) with 3 PM matinees Aug. 16, 17, 23 and 24.
