New York City-based theatrical incubator Fresh Ground Pepper launches its first-ever festival April 10 at the New Ohio Theatre Off-Broadway. The inaugural FGP Festival continues through April 21 featuring new works that span genre and form including performance, visual art, comedy, music, immersive theatre, board gaming, literature, and more.

The lineup, which emphasizes a celebration of the artistic process, features a host of new works-in-progress. The PlayGround PlayGroup, a year-long collaborative workshop between writers and creators of varying mediums, will showcase new works, and FGP's In-House Artists, a group of multi-disciplinary artists, will debut a four-night workshop of a project developed over a year-long residency.

FGP will also celebrate its inaugural festival with a number of parties throughout the 12-day event. In addition to the opening and closing parties, as well as a nightly happy hour in the theatre's lobby, FGP's New Producers Lab for emerging creative producers will host an experimental art party in the style of a presidential election. The audience will vote and by the end of the evening, the president will be protested and impeached.
