News Freud's Last Session Makes World Premiere at Barrington Stage Company June 10 The world premiere of Mark St. Germain's Freud's Last Session begins performances at the Barrington Stage Company's Stage 2 June 10.

Directed by Tyler Marchant, the production will run through June 28 with a press opening on June 14. Mark H. Dold, recently seen in the West Coast premiere of Opus at the Old Globe, stars as C.S. Lewis opposite the Sigmund Freud of Martin Rayner.

Freud's Last Session, according to press notes, "centers on legendary psychiatrist Dr. Sigmund Freud (Martin Rayner), who invites a young, little known professor, C.S. Lewis (Mark H. Dold), to his home in London.  Lewis, expecting to be called on the carpet for satirizing Freud in a recent book, soon realizes Freud has a much more significant agenda. On the day England enters World War II, Freud and Lewis clash on the existence of God, love, sex and the meaning of life - only two weeks before Freud chooses to take his own."

BSC Stage 2 is located at 36 Linden Street in Pittsfield, MA. For ticket information visit www.barringtonstageco.org or call (413) 236-8888.
