SEATTLE -- In a long overdue move, one of Seattle's Equity theatres is making room for the annual Seattle Fringe festival, March 12-22. A Contemporary Theatre's Bullit Cabaret will house nine companies performing 51 shows during the annual event. ACT's Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein has said, "The Fringe scene is actually at the center of this town's artistic activity. Its vitality and diverse talent pool are essential to Seattle's extraordinarily dynamic arts scene."
This years fringe theme is "Naked Fringe -- There's nothing between you and the art," and the festival will host 90 performing companies at 11 venues throughout Seattle March 12-22. The Festival box office opens Saturday Mar. 7. For information and tickets call (206) 322-2018, and stay tuned to Playbill Online for much more in-depth preview coverage.
