The Wild at Last Theatre Company, producers of 1998's Fringe production of The All Male Importance of Being Earnest, will present the musical revue, All Male Lives of Y2-Gay, Aug. 18-28 at the 1999 New York International Fringe Festival. Proceeds from the show will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Hugh Hysell conceived and directs this musical look at the comic and moving journeys of gay men as they approach the end of the millennium. Eight cast members search for love, acceptance, community and answers as they look into the next 1,000 years.
Alfredo Alvarez wrote the music with lyrics by Jeff Dobbins. Dobbins, Hysell and the cast collaborated on the book. Songs include "Y2-Gay," "Chelsea Boy," "Naturally Nelly," "Gym Dandy" and "Searching for a Euphemism."
Y2-Gay features Ron Gloff, James Luxton, Darren Katz, Adam Mastrelli, Chad Miller, John P. Moore, Ryan Perry and Scott Striegel.
