Garen Scribner, a former soloist with the San Francisco Ballet and Nederlands Dans Theater 1, made his Broadway debut in the ensemble of the 2015 Broadway production of An American in Paris, directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, before replacing as lead Jerry Mulligan. This past summer, he appeared in The Muny’s production of Jerome Robbins’ Broadway.

In Episode 3 of Playbill's From Ballet to Broadway series, Scribner shares how transitioning from the world of dance to Broadway posed its own unique challenges, which he was happy to embrace. The work of Broadway and ballet legend Jerome Robbins continues to influence dancers across all genres.
