News From Faith Prince to Darren Criss — 5 Shows to Check Out in L.A. Los Angeles has plenty to offer theatre lovers this fall.

LA Opera is set to present three semi-staged concert performances of Wonderful Town with a cast of Broadway stars that includes Nikki M. James, Faith Prince, Marc Kudisch, Roger Bart, and Ben Crawford. Performances take place at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion December 2-4, with direction by David Lee and choreography by Peggy Hickey. LA Opera's resident conductor Grant Gershon conducts.

The Hedwig and the Angry Inch tour, featuring Darren Criss in the title role with Tony winner Lena Hall, makes its second stop at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre November 1-27. Hall, who won a Tony in the Broadway debut of Hedwig, is reprising her work as Yitzhak (she also plays the title role one performance a week). Next month, the theatre will welcome the King and I tour.

Don’t miss Grease film star Olivia Newton-John in her one-night-only concert performance at the Cerritos Center November 19. The evening promises to feature a collection of hits both old and new.

Performances begin November 9 at the Mark Taper Forum for the Druid production of Martin McDonagh's The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Garry Hynes, who directed the play on Broadway in 1997, returns to helm the dark comedy about a mother and daughter in the mountains of Ireland. Performances run through December 18.

Head to the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood to experience Disney’s latest animated feature Moana—featuring songs by Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Mirandawith a live concert. From November 23-December 11, The Side Street Strutters Jazz Band will perform music from Disney favorites like The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules, and more before every film.
