It is a profound day for all people across this country who have fought for decades to achieve the same inalienable rights as other Americans.
The legal nightmares, which have afflicted all people who seek justice and equality, are over, especially our friends in the LGBTQ community, for whom we revel in knowing they all can sleep soundly now that their families and loved ones have full and equal protection under the law. We wish them all sweet dreams from this night forward.
Playbill has long been an ally and advocate for equality, standing side by side with members of the community we are so honored to represent. From our longstanding partnership with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, The Actors Fund, Family Equality Council, and others, along with our institution of the annual Playbill Pride issue, it is core to our personal and business ethos to fight for human rights — today, tomorrow and always.
