Manhattan Theatre Club has announced a one-week extension for the world premiere of Abe Koogler’s Fulfillment Center, which opened to critical acclaim June 20. All tickets to the show are priced $30 in the hopes that a larger and more diverse audience will be able to see the play.
Fulfillment Center details the lives of four people living in the New Mexico desert, each with his or her own struggles and desires.
The production plays MTC’s The Studio at Stage II - Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series at New York City Center, now through July 16. Performances began June 6.
Here’s how MTC describes Fulfillment Center: “In the New Mexico desert, a down-on-her-luck folk singer takes a job at a giant online retailer's shipping center. Her young manager struggles to connect with his girlfriend newly relocated from New York. And a drifter living at a local campground dangerously links them all.”
The creative team is made up of scenic designer Andrew Lieberman, costume designer Ásta Bennie Hostetter, lighting designer Pat Collins, and sound designer Ryan Rumery.
Tickets for Fulfillment Center can be purchased online at NYCityCenter.org, by calling CityTix at (212) 581-1212, or by visiting the New York City Center box office, located at 131 West 55th Street.
