News Full Cast Announced for New U.K. Production of Show Boat; Daniel Evans Directs Full casting has been announced for a new U.K. production of Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein's 1927 Broadway classic Show Boat, beginning performances Dec. 10 at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre prior to an official opening Dec. 16, for a run through Jan. 16, 2016.



Directed by Tony nominee Daniel Evans (Sunday in the Park with George), it will feature Michael Xavier as Gaylord Ravenal, Gina Beck as Magnolia Hawks, Lucy Briers as Parthenia Hawks, Sandra Marvin as Queenie, Emmanuel Kojo as Joe, Rebecca Trehearn as Julie La Verne and Allan Corduner as Captain Andy Hawks. The cast will be completed by Ian Carlyle (Charlie), John Coates (Sherrif Ike Vallon), Danny Collins (Frank Schultz), Adam Dutton (Windy), Akintunde Esuruoso (ensemble), Nolan Frederick (Jake), Bob Harms (Steve Baker), Victoria Hinde (ensemble and Dance Captain), Cristina Hoey (ensemble), Linda John-Pierre (ensemble), Linford Johnson (ensemble), Kate Milner-Evans (Mrs. O'Brien), Maria Omakinwa (ensemble), Ryan Pidgen (Pete Gavin ), Kenny Thompson (ensemble), Tosh Wanogho-Maud (Willy ) and Alex Young (Ellie May Chipley).



The production will be designed by Lez Brotherston and choreographed by Alistair David, with musical supervision and direction by David White. Lighting is by David Hersey and sound by Paul Groothius, with casting by Jill Green.
