The company's artistic director Sher stages the work, which will begin previews April 28 and open May 4 for a run at the Washington state stage through June 2.

Wilder's comedy The Skin of Our Teeth is about "a typical American family [who] live in a world continuously at risk of being trampled by a dinosaur, threatened by an iceberg, ravaged by a flood and ruined by war."

Previously announced stars Annie Scurria (Singing Forest) and Howie Seago will be joined in the ensemble by Kristin Flanders (Richard III) as well as actors and musicians Kelly Balch, Laurence Ballard, Amy Conant, Clayton Corzatte, Catherine E. Harris-White, David Hunter Koch, Ernest L. Pumphrey Jr., Chelsey Rives, Gregory Scott Rocha, Derek Schreck, Lucia Sher, J.D. Tracy and Kate Wisniewski.

The design team reunites Sher with his The Light in the Piazza collaborators Michael Yeargan (scenic) and Catherine Zuber (costume). The production also employs Marcus Doshi (lighting) and Peter John Still (composer and sound). Alyssa Keene serves as dialect coach, and Lisa Ann Chernoff is the stage manager.

The remainder of the season includes Craig Lucas' new adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya (June 12-July 18) and his new play Prayer for My Enemy (July 27-Aug. 26) — both directed by Sher — as well as Christopher Sergel's dramatization of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird (Sept. 14-Oct. 28).
