Full casting has been revealed for the previously announced new production of Terry Jastrow's The Trial of Jane Fonda that will begin performances July 13 at London's Park Theatre, prior to an official opening July 14, for a run through August 20.
Anne Archer, the Oscar-nominated star of Fatal Attraction, is to be joined by musical theatre star Alex Gaumond and a cast that also includes Christien Anholt, Martin Fisher, Paul Herzberg, Ako Mitchell and Mark Rose.
Gaumond, who was Olivier-nominated for his role in the original West End outing of Legally Blonde, and whose other West End credits include Matilda, We Will Rock You, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Top Hat, is appearing in his first major non-musical role in a play. In a press statement, he said, "I am very excited to take on the role of Larry in this fascinating play and to work with such a brilliant cast. If the auditions are anything to go by, the group dynamic on stage will be electric. In the few years since its opening, Park Theatre has quickly established a fantastic reputation for great work, so I am delighted to be performing there this summer.”
It is directed by Joe Harmston, with set design by Sean Cavanagh, sound design and music by Matthew Bugg, video projection design by Louise Rhoades-Brown, lighting by Tony Simpson and costumes by Roberto Surace. It is produced by Acute Theatre Limited and Dann Moss in association with Park Theatre.
