Denise Welch, Gary Wilmot, Craig Mather, and Simon Lipkin will join the previously announced Rufus Hound and Neil McDermott in the London premiere of a new musical adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows.
The tuner, which features music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe and a book by Julian Fellowes, begins performances June 17 prior to an official opening June 29 at the London Palladium.
Hound and McDermott, who will respectively reprise their roles as Mr. Toad and Chief Weasel from the regional premiere of the musical last year, are newly joined by Lipkin as Rat, Mather as Mole, Welch as Mrs. Otter, and Wilmot as Badger.
The company will also comprise Chris Aukett, Joel Baylis, Jenna Boyd, Abigail Brodie, Abigail Climer, Jorell Coiffic-Kamall, Nicole Deon, Emilie du Leslay, Joshua Gannon, James Gant, Evan James, Michael Larcombe, Bethany Linsdell, Ryan Pidgen, Adam Vaughan, Georgie Westall, and Natalie Woods.
