Described in publicity materials as a "post electric play," it offers a vision of post-apocalyptic America. It premiered at New York's Playwrights Horizons Theatre in 2013. Robert Icke will direct a cast that includes Fiona Digney, Adrian der Gregorian (soon to appear in the West End premiere of Made in Dagenham), Demetri Goritsas, Adey Grummet, Michael Henry, Justine Mitchell (a regular at the National Theatre and Dublin's Gate and Abbey Theatres), Wunmi Mosaku, Annabel Scholey (Passion Play at the Duke of York's, Richard III at the Old Vic and BAM), Michael Shaeffer (Table and London Road at the National) and Jenna Russell (Urinetown at the St. James Theatre, Merrily We Roll Along at the Menier Chocolate Factory and West End's Pinter Theatre, Sunday in the Park with George at the West End's Wyndham's and Broadway's Studio 54).
The play will be designed by Tom Scutt, with lighting by Philip Gladwell, sound by Tom Gibbons and joint composition and musical direction by Orlando Gough and Michael Henry.
