The Full Monty, Les Misérables and Miss Saigon will play Miami Beach's Jackie Gleason Theater this winter. According to South Florida's Sun Sentinel, these are the only three shows booked for the upcoming winter season at the Gleason, which has hosted up to six shows during the theatre's heyday. This year, the theatre hosted four musicals, including the Ann-Margret The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and Mamma Mia!, which plays March 26 through April 7.
The Full Monty, which received ten Tony nominations, will play the Gleason from Jan. 7, 2003, through Jan. 12; Alain Boublil and Claude Michel Schönberg's Les Misérables is scheduled for Jan. 28 through Feb. 2; and Boublil and Schönberg's other international hit, Miss Saigon, will run Feb. 25 through March 2. Gleason subscribers will also be able to purchase tickets to the production of The Lion King, which will play the Broward Center beginning Oct. 25.
The Jackie Gleason Theater is located at 1700 Washington Avenue in Miami Beach, FL. For information, call (800) 520-2324.
