News Further Booking Announced for My Fair Lady

After a recent extension to August, My Fair Lady will now be booking even further through Dec. 21, 2002.

Nominated for 8 Olivier Awards, My Fair Lady is directed by Trevor Nunn, designed by Anthony Ward with lighting by David Hersey and choreography by Matthew Bourne. The current stars include Jonathan Pryce, Joanna Riding, and Dennis Waterman.

The story involves Henry Higgins, an opinionated linguistics professor and confirmed bachelor, who makes a wager with a colleague that within six months he can transform a cockney flower seller, Eliza Doolittle, into a lady who can take her place in high society. He wins the bet, but doesn't bargain for the profound effect she has on his life.

The musical opened to rave reviews at the National's Lyttelton Theatre on March 15, 2001 and transferred to the West End's Theatre Royal Drury Lane in July 2001.
