Fynsworth Alley — the recording label that recently signed Broadway actress-singer Betty Buckley — will release Christopher Durang's Beyond Therapy Aug. 27.

The Fynsworth CD marks the first time Durang's classic comedy has been recorded. The all-star cast — directed by Gordon Hunt — boasts Ed Begley Jr., David Hyde Pierce, Catherine O'Hara, Kate McGregor, Richard Kind and playwright Durang.

Beyond Therapy opened at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre in June 1982. The Broadway company included John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest, Jack Gilpin, Peter Michael Goetz, Kate McGregor and David Pierce. One of Durang's most celebrated works, the comedy examines two "universal" questions: How far are you willing to go for a relationship? and How much of the relationship will you share with your therapist?
