News Gaby Hoffmann Looks for Love On-Line in Williamstown Premiere, The Sugar Syndrome, July 27-Aug. 7 Gaby Hoffmann will star in the Williamstown Theatre Festival's Nikos Stage offering, The Sugar Syndrome by Lucy Prebble, running July 27-Aug. 7.

Patch Darragh, Tim Hopper, Erin Felgar, Jonathan Kells Phillips, Liz Wisan and Betsy Aidem also star. Maria Mileaf directs.

Hoffmann plays 17-year-old Dani, who "surfs internet chat rooms searching for someone who is honest and direct. What she finds is a man twice her age who thinks she is an 11-year-old boy." The characters in the play include the Voice of the Internet (played by Felgar) and Voicemail (Wisan).

Williamstown warns that The Sugar Syndrome "contains adult subject matter and is intended for mature audiences."

Hoffmann is primarily known for her precocious teen film career, during which she starred in the Nora Ephron films "Sleepless in Seattle" and "This Is My Life."
