News Gaiman Fantasy Neverwhere to Come to Lifeline Theatre in May Lifeline Theatre Company will present an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's best-selling 1996 novel Neverwhere May 10-June 20 in Chicago, IL. The show will mark the conclusion of Lifeline's 27th season.

Gaiman's novel will be adapted by Robert Kauzleric and will be directed by Paul S. Holmquist.

The cast will include Patrick Blashill, Elise Kauzlaric, Robert Kauzlaric, Katie McLean, Phil Timberlake, Chris Hainsworth, Kyra Morris, Sean Sinitski and Christopher M. Walsh.

The show is described in press notes as an "urban fantasy. When Richard Mayhew stops to care for an injured girl on the street, he is drawn into a nightmare shadow world beneath the city of London. To return to his normal life, Richard must brave countless trials, uncover the truth behind a dark conspiracy, and face the indomitable Great Beast. Journey to London Below with a rogues' gallery of liars, outcasts and assassins on a treacherous voyage to awaken the hero within."

The creative team will comprise scenic and properties designer Alan Donahue, lighting designer Kevin D. Gawley, costume designer Elizabeth Wislar, sound designer and composer Mikhail Fiksel, and puppet designer Kimberly G. Morris.

Lifeline will host a 27th Anniversary benefit event, which recreates the "Floating Market" from Neverwhere, April 19 at the Chicago Cultural Center, which is located at 78 E.
