Chicago News Gary Sinise Will Join Steppenwolf’s Jeff Perry in Conversation Sinise will reflect on his book Grateful American: A Journey from Self to Service at the February 18 events.

Steppenwolf co-founder Gary Sinise will join fellow co-founder and Steppenwolf Artistic Director Jeff Perry February 18, 2019, for a conversation about his new book Grateful American: A Journey from Self to Service. The event will be held at 7 PM and again at 9 PM.

Sinise is on tour promoting his new book, which chronicles his life as an actor and advocate—from a high school production of West Side Story to his work as a founding member of Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre, as well as his performance as Lieutenant Dan in Forrest Gump—a role that inspired his advocacy for America's veterans, first responders, and their families.
