News Gatton Will Be Fully Committed at Barrington Stage Vince Gatton, who received a Drama Desk Nomination for his performance in Candy and Dorothy, will star in the Barrington Stage Company's upcoming production of Fully Committed.

Becky Mode's acclaimed one-man comedy is scheduled to begin previews at the Berkshire Museum Feb. 7. Directed by Andrew Volkoff, the limited engagement will run through Feb. 18.

Fully Committed, according to press notes, "takes place over a single day in the life of Sam Peliczowski, an out-of-work actor who mans the red-hot reservation line at Manhattan's hippest restaurant. With the phones ringing off the hook, Sam juggles a range of eccentrics — from scheming socialites and name-dropping wannabes to fickle celebrities and egomaniacal bosses. The question of the hour, though, is whether in the midst of all this culinary-inspired chaos he can also manage to look out for himself.

The design team for the Barrington production includes Brian Prather (sets), Nathan Towne-Smith (lighting) and Vincent Olivieri (sound).

Fully Committed first opened Off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre on Sept. 30, 1999, starring Mark Setlock. Following extensions, it moved to the Cherry Lane Theatre. Setlock took the show to Boston's Wilbur Theatre and L.A.'s Coronet Theatre. Roger Bart and then Christopher Fitzgerald eventually took up the role in the Off-Broadway run of Mode's comedy. The show closed on May 27, 2001.

The Berkshire Museum is located on 39 South Street in Pittsfield, MA. Tickets, priced $25-$35, are available by calling (413) 236-8888 or by visiting www.barringtonstage.co.org.
