Tony nominee Santino Fontana had filled in during the interim, taking his final bow with the company at the Shubert Theatre May 6.

The Tony-winning revival currently stars Tony winner Bernadette Peters as Dolly Gallagher Levi and Tony nominee Victor Garber as Horace Vandergelder; the two will play their final performances July 15 before original stars Bette Midler and David Hyde Pierce return July 17. The two Tony winners will close out the production, playing a six-week limited engagement through August 25.

Prior to earning a Tony Award for his performance in the 2017 revival, Creel received nominations for his performances in Hair and Thoroughly Modern Millie, which marked his Broadway debut in 2002. He recently returned to that musical for a one-night-only concert benefiting the Actors Fund. His additional credits include She Loves Me and The Book of Mormon, for which he won an Olivier Award.

The Jerry Zaks-helmed production also features Kate Baldwin as Irene Molloy, Charlie Stemp as Barnaby Tucker, Molly Griggs as Minnie Fay, Will Burton as Ambrose Kemper, Melanie Moore as Ermengarde, and Alli Mauzey as Ernestina.
