News Gayle Withdraws from Kentucky Girlfriends; Bundy Will Go It Solo at Feinstein's Due to "severe throat and respiratory problems," Crystal Gayle has withdrawn from her upcoming cabaret act with Tony nominee Laura Bell Bundy, Kentucky Girlfriends.

Gayle and Bundy were scheduled to perform Kentucky Girlfriends Oct. 28-Nov. 1 at Feinstein's at Loews Regency. In its place, Bundy will go it solo, offering Just Me Oct. 30 and Nov. 1. The singing actress will be backed by piano, bass and drums, and the performances will focus on Bundy's Broadway material. Kentucky Girlfriends will be rescheduled for spring 2009.

Laura Bell Bundy made her Broadway debut in the original cast of Hairspray as Amber Von Tussle and is known for her work in Legally Blonde (Tony nomination), Wicked and Ruthless!, for which she earned Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk nominations as Tina Denmark. On screen Bundy has been seen in "Dreamgirls," "Guiding Light," "Jumanji," "Life with Mikey," "Adventures of Huck Finn," "Home Improvement," "Strangers with Candy" and "Curtis Court." She released her solo country debut recording, "Longing for a Place Already Gone," last year.
