News Gemignani Will Sing Rodgers and Hart, Porter, Joel, Folds and More at Feinstein's Alexander Gemignani, who is currently starring in the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Sunday in the Park with George, will make his solo New York cabaret debut in May.

The singing actor will offer Getting Gone May 5 and 18 at Feinstein's at Loews Regency. Show time is 8:30 PM. Gemignani will be backed by Tedd Firth on piano, Matt Aronoff on bass, Larry Lelli on drums and Tony Romano on guitar. Cabaretgoers can expect to hear tunes by Rodgers and Hart, Cole Porter, Billy Joel, Sara Bareilles, Ben Folds and Todd Alsup.

Alexander Gemignani won a Theatre World Award for his Broadway debut in the revival of Assassins. He played Jean Valjean in the revival of Les Misérables (Drama League nomination) and has also appeared on Broadway in Sunday in the Park with George, Sweeney Todd and Avenue Q. Off-Broadway he was seen as Brian in Avenue Q and as Officer Duffy in Sorry, Wrong Number. He is the recipient of the Best Performer Award for his work in the 2003 NY Fringe Festival production The Trapped Family Singers. Gemignani also appeared in the Huntington Theatre's production of Marty, and his screen credits include "Passion," "South Pacific" and "The Producers."
