After being accused of treason for her affair with Lancelot, Queen Guinevere is in no mood to take her husband King Arthur's tirade against her. Instead, she fights back with a feminist backlash against the "heroic" Knights of the Round Table and their suppression of women's rights.

Gems' Broadway productions have included the biodramas Piaf, Stanley and Marlene. Her first big West End hit came with Dusa, Fish, Stas and Vi, produced just as Guinevere made its world premiere at the Edinburgh Festival.

Jeanne Ruskin stars as the title character, with Alan Nebelthau as King Arthur.

Guinevere runs in repertory with the late night production of Mac Wellman's Dracula. Tickets are $12. The 78th Street Theatre Lab is located at 236 West 78th Street. For reservations, call (212) 873-9050.
