News   Gender and Feminity Explored in Abrons Arts Center's Free, Three-Day Just Like a Woman Event
 
Abrons Arts Center presents Just Like a Woman, a free, three-day program of performances, installations, cabarets, screenings, panels and book launches that examine representations of gender and the ways in which femininity can be performed. The interdisciplinary theatrical event runs Oct. 23-25.

Participants include Lois Weaver, Peggy Shaw, George Chakravarthi, The Girls, Dickie Beau, Nando Messias, Lucy Hutson, Kris Grey, Laura Bridgeman & The Drakes, Harold Offeh, The Famous Lauren Barri Holstein, Narcissister, CHRISTEENE and more.

The program, according to press notes, features "a dazzling array of U.S. and U.K. based artists – women performing women, women performing men, men performing women, and artists who go beyond the limits of gender altogether."

Along with Abrons Arts Center, Just Like a Woman is presented by U.K.'s Live Art Development Agency (LADA) in collaboration with Chelsea Theatre.
