News Gennaro to Depart New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse Michael Gennaro, the President and CEO of Paper Mill Playhouse, will leave his position at the New Jersey theatre.

Gennaro, according to a press statement, will take a position at a different theatre in February 2007. During his time at Paper Mill, Gennaro oversaw the artistic and business operations of the theatre and developed administrative goals and strategies.

In a statement Gennaro said, "I am proud of the accomplishments of the Theatre under the leadership of the team I have put together. The time has come for me to take on new challenges and I leave Paper Mill Playhouse with a committed staff and a dedicated board to carry on.”

Paper Mill Playhouse board of directors chairman Ken Thorn added, "We are saddened to lose a leader like Michael. The Board and I have tremendous faith in the staff that Michael has built and the contributions he has made to Paper Mill Playhouse will enrich our organization for years to come."

The Paper Mill staff also includes managing director Diane Claussen and associate artistic director Mark S. Hoebee. Over the next few weeks Claussen and Hoebee will assume management of the theatre working in collaboration with the departing Gennaro.
