Just weeks after it was announced that Oskar Eustis will succeed Wolfe as artistic director of The Public Theater, comes news that Wolfe will return to the institution to direct the new Neil LaBute play This Is How It Goes. The play will run March 8-April 10. It is called a "compelling new tale of manipulation, exploitation, race and infidelity." Set in a small town in America, it concerns an interracial love triangle. Neil LaBute is currently enjoying success with his hit production of Fat Pig Off-Broadway. His other plays include bash, The Shape of Things and The Mercy Seat.

As reported earlier, Wolfe will also direct a 2005 Central Park staging of Shakepeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Midsummer will be Wolfe's first Delacorte Theatre assignment since his 1997 mounting of the Bernstein-Comden-Green musical On the Town.
