Takei is scheduled to star with Tony Award winner Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Les Miserables) in the new musical Allegiance, which is aiming for a Broadway bow in 2012.

Allegiance is described as "a new musical about love, loss and heroism in the backdrop of the Japanese American internment."
