As previously announced, the readings will feature the talents of Caissie Levy (Hair), David Larsen (Billy Elliot), Asmeret Ghebremichael (Legally Blonde) and recording artist Celisse Henderson. Newcomers to the reading include Jared Gertner (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Ordinary Days) and Blake Whyte (Wicked). Walker in Babylon features music and lyrics by David Reiser and a book by Jimmy Ray Bennett. The production is described in press notes as "an immersion experience, combining a dance club atmosphere, hip-hop beats, and constant multimedia stimulation to engage audiences in an epic story of a society obsessed with instant connection. In a style reminiscent of The Donkey Show or Fuerza Bruta, Walker in Babylon re-imagines how an audience experiences live entertainment and invites spectators to take an active role in an evening of personal connection and multimedia celebration."

The first presentation of Walker took place in July 2009 at the 45th Street Theatre.

Walker in Babylon is produced by New Make Do and general managed by Martian Entertainment. For more information visit NewMakeDo.com.

The Monkey Space is located in Manhattan at 37 West 26th Street, 12th floor. Industry folk interested in attending the readings should e-mail [email protected].
