Cast Recordings & Albums Get a First Listen to Wicked Star Hannah Corneau Singing a Track From New Musical Renascence The Off-Broadway cast album is available May 24 from Broadway Records.

Broadway Records and Yellow Sound Label announced a surprise release today: an Off-Broadway cast album of the new musical Renascence, produced at Transport Group in October 2018. The album is now available on digital outlets and at BroadwayRecords.com.

Listen to Hannah Corneau, now making her Broadway debut as Elphaba in Wicked, singing "Exiled" from the recording above.

Renascance has music by If/Then and American Idiot music director Carmel Dean and a book by Dick Scanlan (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Everyday Rapture). The show tells the story of Pulitzer-winning poet Edna St. Vincent Millay, whose works Dean has set to music. The show won the Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Musical May 22.

The album features the original Off-Broadway cast, including Corneau, Mikaela Bennett (The Golden Apple), Jason Gotay (Bring It On), Danny Harris Kornfeld (Rent), Katie Thompson (Giant), and Donald Webber Jr. (Hamilton). Orchestrations are by Tony winner Michael Starobin (Assassins, Next to Normal). The album has been produced by Michael Croiter, Dean, and Scanlan.

The world premiere Off-Broadway production was co-directed by Transport Group Artistic Director Jack Cummings III and Scanlan, leading a creative team that also included scenic designer Brett J. Banakis, costume designer Ásta Bennie Hostetter, lighting designer Jen Schreiver, sound designer Kai Harada, music director Geraldine Anello, and choreographer Scott Rink.
