The conversation, which will be moderated by Tony Award nominee Susan Blackwell, is part of the fall 2013 programming schedule of special performances, events and educational offerings at the new Drama League Theater Center in Tribeca (32 Avenue of the Americas).
Benanti's stage credits include The Sound of Music, Swing!, Into the Woods, Nine, The Wedding Singer, Gypsy, In the Next Room and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.
Future special guests in the series will include Tony Danza (Oct. 15); Tony Award winners Cherry Jones (Oct. 21) and Judy Kaye (Nov. 6); and conductor/composer David Friedman (Nov. 21), who will discuss "Conducting Disney."
"Having opened The Drama League Theater Center in May, we're excited to begin our first full season of event programming in our new home," Gabriel Shanks, Drama League executive director, said in a statement. "It's truly remarkable to be welcoming old friends like Cherry and Laura."
