Get Your Head Shrunk: Psychotherapy Live Begins Off-Broadway, March 21

News   Get Your Head Shrunk: Psychotherapy Live Begins Off-Broadway, March 21 America appears to contain plenty of people fool enough to play out their personal lives on "reality shows" in front of millions of television viewers, so perhaps performance artist Lisa Levy will have no trouble lining up guinea pigs for her show, Psychotherapy Live!.

Psychotherapy Live!—which is just what you think—begins a six-week run at The Marquee (356 Bowery) March 21. It will run through April 25. Jared Geller produces. The show, which had an earlier successful run Off-Off-Broadway, stars Levy, who comes with a couch and a degree as a "Master of Clinical Psychology." Audience members are invited to lie down and tell the doctor their troubles, which Levy solves in a quick, 13-minute session (with a little help from an old copy of "Psychotherapy Made Easy").

This time around, Levy will also screen pre-taped sessions with patients in their homes. In December of last year, Levy (perhaps it was inevitable) prepared a television pilot of her show.

Tickets are $12. Call (212) 245-1109, ext. 260.
