A Tony nominee for Amour, Gets will portray Ernie in a cast that also includes Natalie Venetia Belcon (Avenue Q) as Phyllis, Rachel de Benedet (Adrift in Macao) as Pam and Paul Iacono (Landscape of the Body) as Jimmy. Belcon, de Benedet and Iacono appeared in a reading of The Last Smoker in America last fall at the York Theatre Company.

The Last Smoker in America, a "musical comedy about a dysfunctional suburban family struggling to survive in a smoke-free America," features music by Peter Melnick (Adrift in Macao and book and lyrics by Bill Russell (Side Show).

The private readings wil be directed by Sheryl Kaller (Adrift in Macao) with music direction by John McDaniel (Brooklyn).
