The board of trustees at the Geva Theatre in Rochester, NY, has appointed Frank Mack its new managing director effective Jan. 1, 2001. Mack replaces Howard Sherman who left Geva in September to serve as executive director of the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center.
Mack is currently the managing director of the California Shakespeare Festival in Berkeley, where he helmed that organization through a period of “record growth both in attendance and contributions, resulting in a combined operating surplus, over the three seasons, of over $500,000.” Mack also spent five years as project manager at Washington, D.C.’s Arena Stage.
