In the third season, Marini will guest star as Julian, a friend of a friend of Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell’s (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), who is thought to be gay. However, when Julian is left alone with Claire (Julie Bowen), he proves that he is, in fact, straight.
Marini recently appeared in Melissa James Gibson’s new play This, which played a limited engagement at the Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre. He is best known for his film and television credits, which include "Brothers & Sisters," "Nip/Tuck," "Dancing With the Stars" and "Sex and the City: The Movie."
"Modern Family" returns to ABC with a one-hour season premiere Sept. 21 and will air Wednesday nights at 9 PM ET.
