The news was announced at the Elton John White Tie and Tierra Ball in London June 27, where Coldplay frontman Chris Martin dedicated John's classic "Your Song" to Morrison and Puente and sang it as a duet with John. Morrison and Puente were first reported to be dating at the same event in 2011.
Morrison confirmed the news on Twitter, writing: "An incredible night of LOVE @ejaf Ball. I'm going to marry my best friend! Happy day for me and @Renee_Puente."
Morrison, who made his Broadway debut in Footloose, has performed in Hairspray, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Light in the Piazza, A Naked Girl on the Appian Way and South Pacific. In 2009 he was cast as optimistic show choir teacher Will Schuester on Ryan Murphy's TV show "Glee," which has earned him Screen Actors Guild, Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations.
Morrison is currently in the U.K. promoting his just-released album, "Where It All Began," which features such classics as "Singin' in the Rain" and "The Lady is a Tramp."
