Twentieth Century Fox Television and Twentieth Century Fox Film partnered to present "Glee Live! 3D!," a 140-minute film that captures the recent U.S. concert tour based on the hit Fox series.
"Glee Live! 3D!" will be screened for a limited two-week release. Kevin Tancharoen, who also directed the remake of the hit film "Fame," directed the film.
The film features Lea Michele (Rachel), Corey Monteith (Finn), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Chris Colfer (Kurt), Kevin McHale (Artie), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), Mark Salling (Puck), Dianna Agron (Quinn), Naya Rivera (Santana), Heather Morris (Brittany), Harry Shum, Jr. (Mike), Chord Overstreet (Sam) and Darren Criss (Blaine).
The live event included highlights from the first two seasons of "Glee," including such songs as "Empire State of Mind," "Toxic," "My Life Would Suck Without You," "It's My Life" and "Don't Stop Believin'."
Emmy Award winner Jane Lynch, who plays Cheerios coach Sue Sylvester on Fox's "Glee," was cut from the theatrical release of "Glee Live! 3D!" according to a recent story in USA Today. "We're doing another version in a couple of weeks on DVD," said co-creator Ryan Murphy at a recent press conference for the film. "Jane will be on that. We'll do it that way."
