Broadway and "Glee" star Lea Michele will be part of an ad campaign for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) that seeks to stop the New York City horse carriage trade, according to the New York Times.

Michele will appear in posters and video clips that will carry the slogan, "Help put horse-drawn carriages out to pasture."

In addition to playing Rachel Berry on the hit Fox series "Glee," Michele has appeared on Broadway in Spring Awakening, Ragtime and Les Miserables.

A PETA spokesperson told the Times that the ads will run on peta.org and other websites.
