News "Glee" Star Matthew Morrison Records First Solo Album in London Tony nominee and "Glee" star Matthew Morrison is spending part of June recording his first solo album in London, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Morrison told the industry paper, "I'm writing all the music for it. It's me and a big orchestra behind me." He said the music would be a "dance heavy" mix of styles inspired by Michael Buble and Justin Timberlake.

Morrison received a Tony nomination for his work in Light in the Piazza and also appeared on Broadway in South Pacific, Hairspray, A Naked Girl on the Appian Way, The Rocky Horror Show and Footloose. On "Glee," he plays high school show choir director and Spanish teacher Will Schuester.

"Glee" also stars stage vets Lea Michele (Spring Awakening), Jane Lynch (Love, Loss and What I Wore) and Jenna Ushkowitz (Spring Awakenig), as well as Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer, Amber Riley, Mark Salling, Dianna Agron, Kevin McHale, Jayma Mays and Jessalyn Gilsig.

The series' first season finale airs June 8 at 9 PM ET on Fox.
