News Glover, Holliday Celebrate "Spirit of Harlem" at BC/EFA Benefit, Feb. 26 A host of stage stars will be on hand at "Broadway Celebrates the Spirit of Harlem," a benefit aiding Broadway Cares/Equity Fight AIDS and the Harlem United Community AIDS Center. The event will take place Monday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 PM, at the Apollo Theatre at 253 W. 125th Street.

A host of stage stars will be on hand at "Broadway Celebrates the Spirit of Harlem," a benefit aiding Broadway Cares/Equity Fight AIDS and the Harlem United Community AIDS Center. The event will take place Monday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 PM, at the Apollo Theatre at 253 W. 125th Street.

Phylicia Rashad and Maurice Hines will be the evening's co-hosts. Rashad's theatre credits include Into the Woods on Broadway and Everybody's Ruby Off-Broadway at the Public Theater. Hines is set to embark on a Broadway-bound national tour of Guys and Dolls later this year, playing the role of Sky Masterson.

Scheduled to perform will be tap sensation Savion Glover, Tony Award winning actresses Jennifer Holliday (Dreamgirls) and Lillias White (The Life), The Full Monty star Andre DeShields, the cast of Stomp, married film couple Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, B.J. Crosby, Ken Page, Three Mo' Tenors, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, The Broadway Inspirational Voices, cast members from Disney's The Lion King, and others.

Mercedes Ellington will direct the event.
